Cast #62, 428 H.O. “Service Replacement” Heads:
I am the 2nd owner of these heads (not junkyard/salvage heads)
Original owner had these on his original # matching 428 H.O. (I have the PHS)
The story from orig. owner was he had problems with his factory original 1967 heads and dealer replaced with these nearly identical Cast #62 Heads (used on 68-69 428 H.O. Engines).
Uniquely, the date casting for these heads are B283 (February 28, 1973) which was nearly 4 years after last standard Cast #62 428 heads were produced.
The engine these came off supposedly ran and in all probability these do not have many miles on them (the car sat since the early 1980's), however I cannot personally attest as to whether they will bolt on and run – at least recommend a valve clean up and re-seal.

PS - those are lead deposits on the valves which tells you these have not really run since leaded gas was common at the pump.
