Default Iron #16 ported and prepped heads

Iron Race Prepped Heads (no expense spared) – Pontiac Cast #16, Pair matched date code C218:
Professionally ported and prepped
Filled exhaust cross-over
Combustion chambers cc'd to 72.
Ferrea Ram Air IV length valves
Bronze valve guides
87055 Crower Steel Retainers
86110 Crower 10 degree keepers
Isky Springs #8105 (1.53 O.D x .730 ID)
Seat pressure is 180#
Open pressure is 470 @ .600 lift (coil bind .670-.680)

These have approximately 2,000 miles on them since re-worked and performed flawlessly. I was runing a .635/.636 lift roller cam with this setup. Depending on your application, these could be bolt on ready. $1,300 (they are wrapped to preserve) I can potentially hand deliver for small fee if you are within approx. 300 miles of Chicago area (or meet you part way). Otherwise shipping cost of your choice (I'd box up and sent insured only).

Its a pretty good deal if they have nice port work. Who did the porting ? Flow sheet ? What did the car run, weight ?

Dragncar, you should know most my stuff was done by Whitmore. I almost hate to part with these because his stuff is rock solid and his work was very detailed.

DAMN dude. I will ask my brother if he wants me to loan him the money to get them. He has a 71 GTO engine someone just gave him .I have a extra cast stroker crank too. I kind of doubt it but I will give it a shot. Keep it in the family sort of thing.
See what happens.
Never selling a Whitmore HOs. I least while I can drive.

As I mentioned, all wrapped up. Tried to get a good pic of the intake runner to give you an idea how high up he went. He said this was the max he'd go on the iron head.

Anyone else that uses aluminum, epoxy or other "quick" way of doing it does so at the risk of eventually having the fillings crack or separate. Dan's way was permanent and it's almost as if the head has been cast with nice smooth exhaust ports where the cross over holes usually are.
