Default Work in progress

My '65 Tempest. Plan is to fix it up like they would have in the late '60s or early '70s.

Default Pics of our 65 GTO

Here is our 65 Goat.
Original with 65,000 miles.
Just rebuilt engine, and added new carpet, everything else is original.
Found it in small local ad, was sitting in a barn,
since 1973.
Later,
Bob aka Displayman

I'm liking that convert, Tripower. Something about a perfect Lemans... By the way, did you guys see the '65 Lemans conv. that Volo sold on ebay around a month+ ago? It SOLD for like 34,9000! Wow!

Default Project65

I've owned this car for 6-7yrs. Just a standard 326 Tempest w/2sp auto. I Tagged and drove her for awhile, then parked her with anticipation of someday cloning her. I vowed to never turn a wrench on her till i could get a garage built. So i bought and collected parts in prep to have things i needed to use when the time came. I bought a 66GTO that was beyond help from a local Junkyard, stripped and gavanized the frame tro use for my 65. I've a 66 Tri-setup and a 67 325hp 400 and a saganaw 4sp.I've a 8.2 4pin posi & a set of 3:23 gears. My bro gave me a set of 6X heads for my last BD. Time is getting close,i've completed 90% of my 18x24 garage. One of my main modern update dreams is the suspension. While i have a set of Disc from a 67 Chevelle,i hope to improve the suspension within a reasonable budget. This will be the first full frame off restore/mod i've ever attempted. Many ideas and applications i've read and used that you guys have shared have been stored everywhere from pc files to a couple of custom build manuels i've put together. Many of you guys are a great encouragement to someone like me and my brother whom have loved Pontiacs for many years.

Here is my old turd I picked up this year. 64 tempest, needs just about everything on the inside, but most items are there and repairable. The surface rust makes it look rough but I was surprised how well the under side looked.

I just plan on making a driver out of it. I have a friend that rebuilds 4th gen firebirds and has a low milage 3800 v6 and all the wiring and driveline that I want. I keep think about the gas prices and think it might be a good idea to try it out. But my heavy foot wants my 467 put in it. Cant decide, right now the plan is to do the hard work, spend a lot of money then get tired of it and sell it to someone else to take over. LOL
Usually how things end up, but I really want a nice A/C, fuel injected nice sounding smooth riding car to drive around in.
I have the front end off and keep buying parts for it every week so at least I'm making some progress. I'm also putting together my girlfriends 64 sport fury so its taken some time away for the tempest. She tends to "pay" me more to work on it.LOL

Someone put Grand Prix seats in it but they dont fit very well. I like the looks of the back seat in there but its a tad short for the body.

Default Nice rides!!!

I know what my next acquisition will be...a 64 LeMans post coupe, and I'm going to build the #$@% out of it! Suspension, 455/4speed, but she'll stay a LeMans. B-man, if you ever want to sell one of your cars, please let me know - you've got some sweet rides!!!
