I wasn't aware that there are multiple valley pans... I'm running an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake if that matters.

the one I have has the PCV in the back,I would not run any used one without having it cleaned.Dont have the 8 bolt. You can buy brand new valley pans with the PCV in the front and not worry about having anything get into your engine.I think mine is a 65,very clean but would not trust it myself without total cleaning.Tom

Thank you but I think i'll hold off till I find one with the PCV in the front. I saw the new one's on ebay but they are very pricey.

KRE sells new 8-bolt covers. But they're $195 + shipping.

http://www.krepower.com/Pontiac%20Timing%20Covers.htm

Here'a used one.

Don't know about the quality, but there are lots of cheap pans on Ebay--painted & chrome.

Jeg's & Summit sells 'em under their house brand.

I would be OK with used except with the valley pan. There was a thread on here about trying to clean one.OP thought he had it clean untill he took it apart. There would have been old carbon going into the engine. As I said, get a new valley pan.CHEAP insurance IMO,Tom

I'm just guessing that the shipping on an oil pan would be well over $20, from an individual. So, unless somebody will give you the pan, I don't see how you can save much on a used one.

But, maybe you can find one close enuff to pick it up & save shipping charges.

Good luck !
