Neat car!

There's an interesting story associated with my '61 Bonneville...the original owner had previously owned a 1959 Bonneville, also painted Mandalay Red and with Tri-Power. When he bought this '61 he special ordered it painted the same Mandalay Red, and added 1959 Tri-Power emblems to the front fenders. Since your car is from California it's not the same one, but it looks like it could be.

More pictures.
Undercarriage is as clean as you'd expect for an original California car.
The best color combination. I have a video driving but don't know how to post it.
Tri-power , manual transmission car. There aren't many left, especially in this color combination, and with original California plates.

Great shot!
Looks the same except for the top color and tri-power badges.

The red/red really pops with all the bright-work in the sunlight.
Timeless.

Yeah, it was my first car I bought in Feb. 1964. 389 2 V 280 HP. Auto. $1100.
My dad painted the top RED for me.
Then I added 3x2's 3.90 gears and the rest is history .................
