Yes that is an option, but nothing like the original for fit and finish. All depends on your budget I suppose...

How do you tell the difference between an original and a repop rear bumper?
There are MANY repops on ebay....... I need a driver quality original rear. Needs to be straight.

I was involved in the repro of the 65 rear from AMD. I found them an original rear bumper that was perfect and the repro was made from it. When it finally came back, it was excellent! They own their own chrome shop it Taiwan that does excellent. The test fit was perfect. I wouldn't mind using this on a concours show car. I can't speak for the front bumper they sell as I was not involved in it.

I know daubert20 used an AMD front bumper on his 65 not sure about rear. PM him and he can fill you in. I used a PartsPlace rear panel on a 65. The finish was good, straight but it was thinner than the original. Was hard to detect from the original. Maybe I was lucky. The PG Classic parts were excellent for my 64 (panel, bezels, fuel door)

I found some good driver quality originals on craigslist but all without the backup light holes! My car has backup lights.

Thanks.
Frankly speaking, I want to avoid putting a foreign bumper or metal on my car.
So will redo mine or look for a good driver with back up light holes.

It is bad enough that all the consumable parts you buy from the parts repop suppliers have made-in-taiwan stickers on them. (although offered at made in America pricing). They should do more to disclose the country of origin of all parts in their catalogs.
