The KRE head is a good head...better than the e-head d-port in my opinion...i have looked at both... you have room to grow! Diet and tuning will get you there.
With some head work, diet, and your drive, I believe you can get in the high 8's... just my opinion... over time of course...
No pressure...lol

Thanks! I dunno who originally did them? When I bought them they were full of epoxy and really a mess, I sent them to Dan Barton and asked if he would look at them and see if they were ok, They pressure tested out so he did some work to them to fix them within my budget, they flowed 325@700 on his bench.

"they flowed 325@700 on his bench. "

Good to know-he got just a hair more out of my Edelbrocks that KRE had hand ported-and added spring locators instead of shims. Hoping I can get close to your old times!

Dan also did some heavy porting on Willie Lansings KRE D ports. Not sure what the flow numbers were there.

Yea I know, Somebody tried to tell me last year that it wasn’t anywhere near 3600! It was well over that with the fuel I ran in it and the radials on it, I really thought everything I did to the cross member etc it was gonna be lighter , that block obviously is one heavy bitch compared to 400 with program caps, but I also added motor plates, n sub frame connectors too, all adds up

Ladder bar suspension?

Looks like it needs more right rear preload with that wheel weights?
Or swap some weight around to there?

I agree, and I’m gonna put a half flat on that cal trac, as the car was pulling just slightly to left on launch and these weights verify what I thought , leaf spring John

Yes it does, but I drive on the street, and I’m not removing them for safety.

Mine weighs 3380 with me in it. You can definitely get another 100lbs out without too much trouble and still look very stock.

I’m not sure where? Lol. A chrome moly cage would help maybe 50 lbs?
