There were indeed "Royal Bobcat" Firebirds.
I have original road test reviews for at least one (and I believe there were others). Back in the late 70s, I knew of a one owner '68 Firebird that was a 400 "Bobcat" w/Ram Air, 4:33, etc. A good friend sold an original 428 "Bobcat" '68 Firebird to a collector in Ohio. Original 400 HO car, Royal swapped engines when the car was first delivered. Also added Ram Air, 4:33. Owner went back and had RAII heads installed once those became available. Red car with full dealer documentation detailing full conversion. Billing History is not enough for these rare 'Birds. RamAirJohn Eph. 4:32 Semper Fi http://members.aol.com:/ramair68/gen1home.html |
