Does anyone have any pictures or info on if they ever made such a beast??? I've seen the GTO's done up w/ the "Bobcat" Paint Scheme...did they do the same w/ the firebirds???

There were indeed "Royal Bobcat" Firebirds.

I have original road test reviews for at least one (and I believe there were others).

Back in the late 70s, I knew of a one owner '68 Firebird that was a 400 "Bobcat" w/Ram Air, 4:33, etc. A good friend sold an original 428 "Bobcat" '68 Firebird to a collector in Ohio.
Original 400 HO car, Royal swapped engines when the car was first delivered. Also added Ram Air, 4:33. Owner went back and had RAII heads installed once those became available. Red car with full dealer documentation detailing full conversion. Billing History is not enough for these rare 'Birds.
