I thought i'd put the head an manifold (temporarily)on just see what it would look like.I hope it looks better in the car.Lol.
The one picture of the cylinder looking up from the crank side is to show how I blended the deck of the block to unshroud the valves. The combustion chamber was way bigger the the bore. The chamber was 4.280 and the bore is 4.090.So I put the head on and reached in through the crank case and scribed where the head met the deck of the block,And ground it to fit.I'm using a 4.300 cometic gasket.

Did I mention the motor will be boosted.

Which chamber E-head are you using? I hope 72cc? And even at that- if you are using stock pistons, your CR is going to be in the dumper (I believe the math works out to somewhere around 8.4:1 if I remember correctly, depending on your DH). You will be needing that blower!

Yeah,There 75 cc's with dish tops.I think 23cc's @ 0 deck hight.It's going to be 8.75 to 1.

They cam out good.Rods were 2.5 mains were 3.0.It was alot of work chanfering the bearings to not hit the radius of the crank. It turn out I also had to machine the side of the small side of the rods too. They were too close to the pistons bosses.

Thats a superduty balancer. I am working on a duall 2 bbl manifold for a motor. I belive a couple of those pics are of Nunzies Tempest 4 banger. I remember the temp sensor in the head & the thermostat housing on the front of the head.

The last street 4 banger I built I had 1.5 on the rods & 2 on the mains. Oil pressure Runs 55 psi @ 2500 rpm hot & 35 psi at idle in gear.

Yeah that is Nunzi's motor in those pictures.I have to figure out what balancer to use with mine. That manifold sounds like a fun project.I love make those one off pieces.Wow...
1.5 and 2 that sounds real tight.

I'm having some issues with the head I just had done. The spring hight is @ 1.750 and coil bind is 1.150 and my cam is a 582 lift lash .026 so that leaves me with 556 on the lift.Take that from 1.750 it leaves me with 1.194 take 1.150 from that leaves me with .044 left over .I was told that I should have at least 0.100 .I hoping that I can get some 1.950 high springs.

What are you doing to strengthen the block?

The only thing I did is make 4 bolt main no filler .I was afraid it would make it run too hot for the street.
