It's the car's introduction has created the attention. But you're welcome too.
If you were to ebay the car, mentioning Matthew (with pics of him in it) over and over, it would probably bring in the female interest and raise the price.

I have a Chrysler Le Baron that was owned by John Voight.

True...though purchase $$$ paid often inflated to obscene levels due to massive quantities of Adult Beverage consumption and blinding by chance for "15 seconds of TV fame" on broadcast auctions. And then too there is the advertised "hype"...

Ex: Original Hot Wheels Snake & Mongoose Truck Rigs and Funny Cars combined package (4-vehicles w spare T/F engine w Prudhomme driving Snake FC onto stage) were a no-sale for $1,000,000 bid "again" at auction (BJ).

Yeah,I agree I don't think it would pull more money than a original numbers matching etc.Judge.I will say the 70 GTO movie car has alot of exposure from maybe millions of people watching the movie to Dazed and Confused 70 GTO diecast cars, which will effect the value the amount would be anybodys guess. And who can forget the opening scene with the 70 GTO pulling into the lot with Aerosmith in the back ground classic!

We almost bought this car 8-9 years ago when it was on Ebay. Wish we would have. Not really for retail gain but because the movie kicks azz

D & C was carbon copy to a lot of us here.
$1 joints , coolest cars , girls who knew how to be hot - but not whores.

My youngest brother is 16 years younger than i.
He grew up in my Pontiacs, and was hooked tight on them.

He saw D & C movie before i ever did.
Asked me about an orange'ish-yellow'ish color for 70 Judges being stock ?
He's been addicted to OrbitO 70 Judges ever since.

Your car is a cult classic icon
regardless of any other pedigree or monetary value involved.

Thumbs up July 2014 High Performance Pontiac

It currently has a 70 455 with #13 heads and an m-21. Over the past 10 years the car has been repainted, new vinyl top, new interior, rebuilt front suspension and so on.... It runs ok on today's gasoline -- working on a more suitable drive-train for modern fuel. Even when gas was still gas it would tend to ping on hot summer days. (It does have forged pistons and has held up well). I have a 73 455 with 6x heads sitting on my engine stand -- I may swap that in and see how it does.

Back in the late 90's I drove the car roundtrip from NC - AZ two different times! As of lately it's spent a good bit of time in the garage but I'm planning on driving it a lot more this year.

Looks like a great forum; looking forward to contributing...

Congrats on the July 2013 HPP write up. Got mine in mail yesterday and quick scanned article. Lots of nice color photo and story content. Nice to see it there and good to have you here on PY too. Note: You are in their "1970 GTO" issue.

Yeah, July was a very good issue with tons of vintage photos.

I think Pat wrote a great article as well regarding his role/experience in providing cars for shooting dazed. Very thorough write-up with some cool pics too.

Haven't been on the board much. Logged in and realized that the earlier pictures I posted in this thread were hideous. I've had the car out some and have managed to snap a few more pictures over the last couple of years. With winter approaching, seems worthy of a bump!
