That's probably it, thanks. Funny I see that PRW rockers were used in it so we know that had to have been some years ago.

Steve,
Looking at that article I have to say the shift RPM looks low to me for that cam timing.

Thanks Cliff, to be honest I had completely forgot about his son now racing. Sorry for the confusion here.

( A side note: Many years ago when I went to the Pontiac races at Norwalk I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Cliff at his home and then in the pits with him. Pitted next to us was Ray Klemm and his family, I just would like to say you couldn't find a nicer guy, and family, and their enthusiasm was very refreshing )

These lobe lift files are not from measuring an actual cam but I computer generated them form listed specs. The graph shows valve lift for a comp 3115 lobe with 1.5:1 and a 041 with 1.65:1 both @ 110 ICL

Searching for something else, and just saw this for the first time.

I had 3.42 gears, ran 275/60-15 MT ET Street radials - ran that with both cams. Full exhaust, all steel street car - not super-heavy but far from being considered "light".

When I changed to the UD SFT 280/280 (247/247 @ .050") from the UD HFT 288/296 (231/239 @ .050), the ONLY things that were changed were the cam, lifters, valve springs and the valve job was freshened up. The HFT liked to be shifted around 5300, the SFT like to spin closer to 5900. If I had kept the car (that is, if I hadn't gotten divorced about that time) I would have kicked the stall speed up a few hundred rpm, as I lost some 60' with the SFT.

The green line show a generated valve lift curve for the UD H5. The blue line show a generated valve lift curve for the UD H5 with 0.007" lash (equal to 0.045" lifter raise - Adv duration with 1.5:1 rocker ratio). The magenta line show a generated valve lift curve for the UD N66 with 0.025" valve lash.
