Please help me understand these Motor Mounts
There appear to be 2 styles of motor mounts for the 1967 Firebird (see photos). One style has a saddle style of 2 tabs and a long bolt that goes through to a welded on nut. The other style has a single threaded bolt hole which seems to be correct for the photo of the 67 firebirds frame motor mount brackets. The saddle style mounts are listed as for a 67 bird with a 326 and the other style is listed as for a 67 bird with a 400. My question is regarding the saddle style motor mounts: how would these attach to the frame mounted brackets??
Thanks |

The first picture is the correct motor mount style for Pontiac V8 in 67-69 Firebird. Bolt with large Washer comes through bottom of mount on frame and tightens up to mount, which is bolted to block. Hole in mount is where the bolt with washer come up through. Mounts sits on the frame brackets.
Last picture is GTO style mounts. thepontiacman@yahoo.com

The saddle style are for 70 and up. The 67-69 V8 birds use the single short bolt version.
