http://www.team3wheels.com/ac/ Anyone hear of these guys?

I plan on going with 8" in front and 9" in back, with a 4" backspace.

I already spoke with them and there is a one to two week time frame.

Thanks
Charles

Great info. Thanks.. Did you use the 4" backspace? Just not 100% sure on backspace yet.. Do you remember size of tires you used?

Thanks again
Charles

Yes, I used 4 1/2 inch backspacing on both front & rear rims. Front tires are 235-60-15 Radial TA's and rears are 295-50-15 Radial TA's. At one time I had 255-60-15's at all 4. I'll probably go back with 245-60-15's on the front when I replace the 235's. I want just a tad more tire to fill the wheelwell a little more.

I like them a lot.

I've been searching hard for some 17 or 18 inch wheels for my 74TA. Having a white car with a blue vinyl top makes it hard. I'd have these in a heartbeat if they had a dark center but the polished wheels tend to get lost on the white cars. These are a great choice for that color. Very nice.

They would not be my choice. Once you get over 5 spokes in a wheel, they start looking like truck or import wheels to me.

Not when you are talking about classic designs like the Minilite or Shelby Cobra wheels. Others maybe.

I've loved the minilite-style wheels and am still considering a set, in 17x8 and 17x9 like Charles,to replace a set of 15" ET slots.

That's cool if you like them, but Minilite wheels are imports, originally designed for the Austin Mini and are made in the UK, usually seen on Euro cars.

And Shelby Cobra wheels, if you look closely, are really 5 spoke wheels, with each spoke having a hole in it...makes it look like 10 spokes .

Judging by the back window, I'd say yes. 1974. I think they ran those bumpers from about 73/74 up through 76?
