Default Bucket seat leans

The back rest on the 1970 Bucket seat leans slightly toward the console. The seat base appears to be level but the back rest definitely has a tilt to it. Is there a way to correct this? Couldn't find anything in the search. Thx.

Caused by reaching into right pocket of pants while seated. The backrest is bent. BUt you might also check the rubber stopper it rests on.

The rubber stopper is new as are the seat cushions, covers etc. So is the back rest frame bent or is one of the steel arms that attaches the seat back to the lower seat cushion?

hmmm...., I was reading the article just this am. I have it bookmarked as I am redoing my front seats now. Not sue why its down now. Basically it uses a ford pickup tailgate striker to replace the bolt on the lower seat pan where the upper seat would rest. Its larger diameter offsets the seat to sit upright.
