I would think the V-8 bracket holes would still be there. Cut off the mounts and check.

6 cylinder mounts are up near the front more than the V-8's

This subframe may have been used on a street rod with Pontiac power. Looks like a typical '70 frame with all the holes for both the chevy 6, and the Pontiac V-8. I have marked the picture up to what I think It should look like when all correct. Others here may chime in with their thoughts too.

The mounts welded on look like 70-74 Pontiac engine mounts, however these could have been and probably were cut at the area where the bolt goes through for some other engine mount to fit. The frame side mounts might be reproduced by now.

That makes sense. Should the motor mounts fit snug to the frame mounts

This picture may help. It matches what FB showed as the correct location. The frame and motor mounts should fit snug. It appears yours were the correct mounts, but for some reason they were modified by trimming each side where the motor mount mates with them and the bolt passes through. I have a set of frame mounts for sale that have been powder coated and come with bolts. $225 shipped CONUS. To my knowledge they are not reproduced.

Yes and I’ll throw them in the deal if you pay shipping difference between Buffalo, NY and Toronto. If you are interested, text me at 304.859.7509. Thanks.
