Default Removing Wires from Bulkhead Connector

I've read that you should use a paper clip to get these connectors to release.
Didn't work for me..........
Can someone explain how to do this?
(I'm trying to replace the resistor wire with a 12 guage one)

The best easy way if the bulk in off the fire wall is needle nose pilers gently squeeze the too longer side in and ( this is on the middle part of the bulk the side of the bulk when att. you can't see) push towards wires, on what ever one you will need. I will get pic's unless the guy does first.

Pontiac1976:
I think you may be speaking about the inside of the bulkhead..........
I'm needing to remove engine compartment wires from the piece that snaps off the backside of the fuse box - on the engine compartment side.

Thanks for the pics, looks like my '65 connector is different, it has two removal bundles on the firewall side. They are held by a top and bottom plastic tab.
I'd like to see these pics better, my zooming makes them blurry.
I REALLY appreciate you taking the time!

Connector number is 2973915 available in package of 25 at your local gm dealership. connector has 2 locks 1 on each side. push in a small metal piece the size of a hair pin, insert from pin side not wire side, and pull on wire. tried pictures but are to small to see properly. can try connector picture tommorrow if still needed. These pins fit my 64 Lemans, it has 2 white plastic housings on engine side of fuse block, ie 2 harness. should be same as yours.
These pins are also used on turn signal switch connector. They are called twin lock, as the name says, twins because mating connectors use the same terminal twisted 180* from one another.

Good luck

Looks like this tool is what's needed to remove many kinds of connectors.
(can't vouch for this supplier - just found it here first)

Nope, none of above pictures match these connectors, I searched high and low when I was lookin, even ordered some to find out they were wrong. I will try and get picture today, how many of these do u need, i have about 20 left overs and could send ya a couple if that's all u need. I even tried some wiring harness makers but they would not sell seperately they want u to buy their harness.

Later, Rick

Two would get the job done for me.
I'll also try to take mine apart, if that works I'd send you them back!
Send me a PM with your address and all the costs - I'll send you a MO.
Thanks Rick

It's called a twin lock terminal, I took some pictures but they are not visible, too small. Most of the terminals they show in those places are for newer vehicles.
