Also, it's funny that they say the 403 has the same bore and stroke as a 400, when the 403 actually has a larger bore and shorter stroke, even though the cubes add up to about the same displacement.

No disrespect for the 403....BUT....for ME...it's a HUGE stop sign...in a 77 or 78 T/A.....
Not SO much in a 79....but make make MINE a W72........

I will never forget back when I was in the trans am club of Dayton in 78. one of the girls came in so happy she had just got her first new car. I cant remember the color, but when we went and looked at it one of the guys pointed out the Olds engine and she lost it. she went and threw such a fit Moorman Pontiac took it back and let her order another.

Man Alvin, that's such a great looking car. I think Brian is right on too, but his mind is in the gutter as usual....
Alvin - I got a call from a PY guy that was wanting to know how the non-pulse wiper fluid lines are plumbed on the nozzle end. Mainly, where is the "T" or "Y" fitting located. I suggested he send you a PM since you have an original car with non-pulse wipers. Give him a hand. Great guy and he's getting a Macho ready for MCACN. |

Time Warp....
I used to attend Trans a Rama....in the early 80's......
It was generally held in Sacramento,Tahoe or Reno....and was "mecca"...if you were into these cars back then.... This one looks like it just drove out of the "winners circle". http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Tran...m=272033050830 With the exception of the modern stereo..gauges &.bottle....it is VERY typical of a 5 year old modified T/A...... The big and little snowflakes.....rake and headlight/tailight covers REALLY add some curb appeal.... I quite like it....but just CAN't warm up to the pink front suspension parts...AND the dash cap....held on with Tek screws....is pretty interesting...  Think it needs white letter tires....shingles and a chrome Hooker show bar...
