Oooh, i forgot: On the lift we can clearly hear a clacking-sound wich sounds like it comes from the converter....something must be wrong there...

Yeah, could be...but that converter is virtually new....a bit pricey to buy another one to test this thesis....but still cheaper than a rebuild...

We have now disconnected the tranny from the engine. The engine revs top fine on its own....so it seems to be the converter. I may have to ad that the tranny makes a loud hissing sound when driving in the lower gears...most noticeable on startup. From what I read this points to a broken converter...I have another converter that we will swap in to test if this solves the problem.
