Craig H (HO Racing) had some pics of a couple girls, one wearing a Judge top, thinking it was halter. (I think the other girl was his wife or soon to be wife?)

This would have been in 70's I believe?

My sisters are 1 yr older and 1 yr younger than me. So I texted them the pix, asked their opinion. Younger sister was always more fashion conscious, she immediately said fake. Older sister thought pix could be from the '80s but after seeing my younger sister's comments, started to agree with her. Both agreed the lack of tats suggested older but they still felt it must be staged.

Then older sister searched and found the truth. Apparently guys at the GTO Facebook page had it figured out.

Girl's name is Meaghan Syrjala, aka @bigblockblondie on Instagram. I don't have an IG account but if you do, you can look at all of her work on that page. She has a couple of film credits where she did the costumes. She loves the '60s and '70s and musclecars. She's 22, read her story here. Give her props for pursuing her dream.

My younger sister (who drove my first GTO while I was in college and shares my love of the '64) thinks it would be cool to dress in period when out in the GTO and Trans Am.

I know that guys with pre-war cars go for that sorta thing and the sock hop theme is popular with the hobbyists with '50s cars. But I haven't seen that yet with cars of the '60s and '70s. And really not sure there is a good clothing theme for the late '60s and early '70s. Anybody here into period dress up when out in their '60s and '70s Pontiacs or at shows?

Ms. Syrjala may be on to something.

i dont care if its staged or not..i dig it..i remember big bells in school...the chair threw me off..but i thought it was vintage because of no tats or piercings.. and she just looks like 70s to early 80s to me...but that damn chair,,,.oh well..she brought back good memories..i lived those days, i loved the clothes etc...

i will check her out on IG...

I thought the first pic was relatively recent. Something about the orange extension cord.

Not clothes, but certainly the music.

This might be blasphemous - but - I'd be ok if I never heard "Little GTO" ever again.

Keith, I thought you were my bud!

The music defines the era more than the clothes. I just made Alexa play Little GTO, haha, take that. Might see if she'll play Mustang Sally and Yakety Yak next!

Now, I will say, not sure I appreciate the music at car shows. Stifles conversation about cars if you are too close to the speakers.

Best post yet on this topic...those pants were popular in the early-mid seventies. Watch some reruns of the Sonny & Cher show to verify.

Ummm, grandma's.

She's representing a 20-something in '70 who'd have been born about '50.

Math are hard.

I didn't see a math question and yours and mine don't add up anyway. Go ahead and pick apart my grammar if you like. The girls I saw in the 70s dressed like that were between 14 on up. You do the math and figure it out.
