Did a search, here's a link with info provided by Keith V.
http://www.user.fast.net/%7Eblazer/69gp3b1.htm Note the 6 M21 (close ratio) 4speed 428/370 horse GP's built. 428/370 horse auto GP's were MUCH more common. Here's to hoping your's is one of the 6 that a previous owner swapped over to Turbo 400. Stranger things have happened |

'ol Pinion head has made a very good point. I would be looking for evidence that the car was converted from manual to automatic. Shouldn't be too hard to spot something.
Or will the PHS service be able to confirm it was a M21 by the VIN. Duh... why didn't I think of that? Last edited by Tin Injun Tom; 08-13-2006 at 10:36 PM. |

ok....I did make 1 mistake the color was GOLD....sorry about that. And to answer your other questions....I contacted GM and spoke to a man there and as we speak there is a few reps working on this. It is definitly a special order car. Also this car has been in the family for the last 25 yrs. I am not stupid so please dont assume that. GM also re-confirmed that it was 1 of 5 or 6 cars built. We are awaiting a written confirmation response tomorrow. I will defintily let you know what is going on with this car. Also it was my step mothers car and when she bought they told her it was very special way back then. If you want GM number call info.....its not that tough. PS....I am a woman......lol. I also recived my package from PHS.....

The part behind the brake booster im not sure what that is ,the part above the battery looks like part of the automatic load leveling system .the other part looks like some of the cruse control.

Ditto with david400. The tank on the firewall with what looks vacuum lines coming out I would have to guess it's part of the air suspension/load leveling and the other is the cruise control.

You've got my curiousity up now.
I've junked a bunch of GPs for the 428s and I don't ever remember seeing a tank that looks like that mounted on the cowl, nor in front of the battery. I've seen vaccum tanks at the bottom of the front fender that looked like a big can, but nothing like those two. Definitely post the PHS. Mike |
