Starting to fit the fenders & front bumper. The seatbelt circuits are kind of a pita. We are experiencing a long wait time on Legendary door panels and seat covers.

You will notice that I have added the trunk release option, which I don't believe was available in 1974. The rear console is an NOS piece which came with the car when I purchased it in 1990.
Interior trim, headliner and panels are painted with Sem off-white. I have an NOS headliner but the vinyl is separating so I'm reusing a very nice original.
Looking good! love the color combo!

some extremely well researched info on the trunk release buttons, the green teunk release buttons were used for '70 model Pontiacs up into mid '74 production, then the green buttons were replaced GM wide, with the same size yellow buttons that were used up through at least the '80 models. After the '81 Firebird models, I seldom pulled factory trunk releases/buttons/harnesses, but the large diam yellow button, like in your pic, did not show up til the mid 80's.

Oh yes the colors available with Firebirds and Formulas, versus the red white and blue 74 TA choices, is probably one of the very few reasons why a buyer would have selected and SD Formula over in SD Trans Am, except maybe the cost.
Thank you for your comments on the trunk release button. Several of the books I have that list RPO's on 1973 & 74 Firebirds do not show a trunk release option for either model year. I thought this might be an oversight and an area worth deviating from originality. I also have quite a selection of trunk release buttons, lots of the yellows in both sizes and some of the greens and even a red.
With that in mind, I simply selected a button that seem to fit the hole in the lower glove box area the best, which in this case was the of large yellow one.
However, my glove box door has a bad hinge and I'm told that reproductions from the only source I'm aware of, won't be available until late this year.
When and if GB doors do become available I will order one and cut the hole above hinge to accommodate the proper button. Thanks again!

Locks incredible! Great job on the restoration.

That said, you might consider swapping out to top post hose clamps.

Are you planning on driving this, or are you going to show it for a while first?

BWB, l had ordered a full set of Wittek date coded clamps, apparently the upper radiator hose clamp was missed. Maybe one of the clamps in the kit was the wrong size for the larger hose. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll check and see what happened.

Short answer no, I won't be driving it. I've had my fun with it, even drove it to work for a while back in the early 90s. Also, took it to the drag strip, Detroit Dragway and Milan, with the Woodward GTO Tigers Club. I still have the timing slips!
The next care taker will have to decide on whether to drive it or not.
However, I'll be curious as to what kind of performance was added by the cam and roller system.
I'd like to show it, maybe at the TA Nats &/or Norwalk.

TA Nats would be a great place to show it and have it Concours judged in the Restored Concours class.

Thanks for the tip, I'll considering that! I haven't shown any cars in the last couple of years. Got a Vette NCRS top flight in 2014.
Never shown any of my Pontiacs.
I could probably use some coaching on Pontiac judging.

Thanks BWB, in recent years I haven't been able to attend the Trans Am Nationals due to conflicting business, however I may be able to attend this year.
I just got my SD back from Gil, my restorer, and through his connections, have received an invitation to show it at the Amelia Island Florida Concours d'Elegance, Cars and Coffee event, on Sat. March 9th.
There won't be any judging, that I know of, but it will be a nice place to show the car for the first time since the completion of the restoration.

John, thank for putting in the link to Amelia Island, I should have done that. Here's a copy of the lay out, not sure where I'll be. The Cars and Coffee event is free, but I'm not sure about the whole event. The last Concours d'Elegance I went to in Michigan, I'm pretty sure there was a charge to get in to see the Packers and Duesenbergs!

Default Source for SD Formula data.

Other than the SD registry, is there a good source for SD Formula specific data, such as # of: exterior color, interior color, options, etc? Maybe a sticky? Somebody must be tracking PHS data on these cars.

Default Amelia Island

I trailer my SD Formula to the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Cars and Coffee event on Saturday March 9th. Really a great show, a lot of Pontiac enthusiast there. I met some guys from the local Jacksonville Pontiac Club. A lot of nice Pontiacs on display, GTOs and Firebirds. One club member has a 73 Brewster Green SD TA.
Were any of you guys there?
