Here is a shot of the motor in my '76 with an rpm intake with shaker installed. I'm using the WFO Performance drop base air cleaner designed specifically for this purpose.

John,

That's a great looking engine, my engine bay is a lot more cluttered.

TA76,

I know one person who put an RPM on his 76 and when he closed the hood he broke the shaker. I bolted my shaker to hood for a short period of time with an Edelbrock Pro Flow and I hated it. I ended up milling my RPM about .200 (for a nitrous plate) and used a BHVIS to get the clearance for the shaker. It's a drop base like the WFO Performance drop base but it's made out of fiberglass and uses a filter installed in the shaker. Either method will give you the clearance you need to run an RPM intake with a quadrajet.

Here's a shot of my engine bay but keep in mind there is a 455 under all that mess:

I sold the stock silver to not destroy it, then bought the blue to race and enjoy it!

Default Woops!!!!

Took me about 1/2 an hour to scan and post these pictures only to realize that they are under the wrong heading. So if someone can move these to the "Old Car Picture" section, I would appreciate it otherwise, accept my apology and pretend that it is an Trans Am. Sorry. Blonde.

I know it's a little rough but hey you gotta start somewhere. Picked it July, 13, 2007, it didn't run but it does now. It's got the original 400 with an auto. Wanted to do more over the winter but ran out of time and low on money.

Default Goldenrod Yellow 76 TA

My 76 is done in the W50 color scheme. Astute students of the 76 Trans Am recognize that this color scheme, while offered on the Formula with the W50 Appearance Package, was not offered on the Trans Am. But it should have been. Goldenrod Yellow Trans Ams came with the gold bird. This is how they should have done it; the graphics absolutely pop in person. I can put the bird on in under 10 minutes. The paint prep work took many months, however. The honeycombs are original to the car, as is all sheetmetal.
