Been awhile since I last posted updates on my 75 rest. I separated the front suspension, upper and lower control arms, spindles, and I also decided to do the drive shaft while I had it off. Sanded, wire wheeled, sand blasted you name I did it. My wife also got into the mix. She removed all the undercoating in the rear wheel wells with the air needle scaler from Harbor Freight. The last picture is the outcome of the needle scaler after removing the undercoating.
I tried to upload the video, it wouldn't load. Bub |

Just some FYI, they make some bolts that have a stud type of head so it looks like the ball joints are original looking from the factory. I think you can get them from Inline Tube.

Painted the yellow stripes on the drive shaft. I even posted pictures of the width of the stripes and the distance between them in case someone else needs the info.

Competed rear stabilizer bar and drop down links. Also complete all of the control arms. Just a picture of the rear of the car how rust free this whole project has been.

Received my rivet looking bolts for the upper control arm ball joints. You can see in the picture what the rivet/bolts look like vs the bolts supplied with the ball joints. Neat item.

The new rivet top bolts look great . I'm glad I could help with that. Your going all out with it so theres no reason not to have the almost correct parts on the ball joints for you. They look great & your effort will not go unnoticed when you have it out to a good show. It not the big stuff the judges look at but the littles extra efforts you do to make it correct.
