Bought mine new in '79 and just finished a big brake and suspension upgrade but the snow has kept me from taking it on its first road test.

My 1978 SE Trans Am I've owned since 2007. It's come a long way, with much work remaining. I'm about ready to swap the wheels (again) for new Year One silver 15x8 snowflakes wrapped in raised white letter tires with gold center caps.
Alvin, Your wheel/tire combo looks fantastic! I really like the amount of sidewall bulge with your 15x8 snowflakes. What size tires are you running? |

Thanks Steve, I've only had it running for a couple days now. Here's a couple more shots.
The interior is the worst part, it's pretty much wasted other than the dash. Typical for a desert car that's been sitting outside. |

A straight solid body is the most important thing to me and looks like you have that. Interiors usually
need work anyway.

Always good to have spares, especially while they're still inexpensive. I've accumulated 3 79 TA's and an 81 esprit for parts over the last 7 years.

It appears these 305 4spd cars are on the rare side, I didn't know you could even get a 5.0 in a second gen Trans Am until I picked this one up.

Y88
My Y88 the day I bought it. It was just laying on a central jersey street. All original 42,000 miles almost no rust needed little bodywork and repaint in the 2nd pic. Reassembling now taking it on the Bandit Run 2014.

79 t/a
Our 1979 301 auto t/a. I found this one on a south jersey lawn for $200. Spent 20min after getting it home and had it running. It laid next to that house for ten years. I spent a few months on it including changing the roof to a fisher t-top one. Its still a work in progress. This is a driver we take it everywhere.
