Default Sad 75 Formula

This sad old Formy followed me home yesterday. I'm not sure what im gonna do with it yet, but for the price I couldnt let it go.
The strange thing about it is it has the functional ram air setup, ie. open scoops and ram air cleaner. The rest of the engine looks unmolested and original, but i was under the impression that 1974 was the last year for the ram air option. Anybody know if it was still available in 1975?

It was not, as far as I know. Someone did question me on a one off looking ram air air cleaner assembly. Can you provide any pictures of it? Top, bottom and decals that may still be attached. Any vacuum switch attached to the side of the base?

Same answer as above, I've never found any evidence of it either.

45 years worth of someone adding parts they want to their car when not available.

Stampede Pontiac sold 1975 350 & 400 4bbl Formulas with the (over the counter) parts installed on brand new cars;
I heard this from a local who saw this first hand, and I see no reason to doubt his word.

Great score, please keep us posted with your plans on this one.

Exactly the same thing happens today. If the new car doesn't come exactly how you want it, then the dealer can swap features and include add-ons to make a sale. It's not factory original that way but can still be arranged when new or since.
