Default 1974 GTO upper cowl panel question

What will work for the upper cowl panel on the 74 GTO. Will the upper cowl panel on the 70-72 Nova work since it is the only one that is being reproduced?

It is likely the same. The '73 redesign basically carried the X body over, for two additional years. The mechanicals - subframe, suspension, rear end, and most structural sheetmetal was carried over from '72. The outer sheetmetal is what changed, for the most part from the '68 - '72 X body generation. I would contact a Nova specialist and inquire if the cowl panel fit all '68 - '74 cars. I have ten or so EXTERIOR cowl panels from 69 -79 X cars, if that is what you are after, but am assuming you are looking for the one underneath. The one that is spot welded onto the body tub, and top of the firewall.

Yes, I am looking for the lower one. I know Goodmark is making the upper inner cowl panel for the 68-72 Nova. I was wondering if they are the same for the 73-74 X body cars. Steve
