Brake booster (power) White plastic dust sleeve - aaaagh!
Does the rubber accordion sleeve get removed and the white plastic go in it's place?
Do both get installed together, plastic over top the rubber one? The white plastic sleeve appears to be too long as booster studs barely engage brackets. Does the sleeve go through the firewall? Hole in firewall is not large enough for sleeve to go through! Car was manual brakes, no booster prior What in heck is the secret to using the white sleeve?? Neither vendor for booster and/or sleeve have responded to my queries!! |

The pushrod boot remains on the booster. It should seat in the firewall hole.
It's basically a dust cover. If the end will not fit into the hole you could just trim the end. JM2C Cheers.

The pushrod boot stays on and just compresses in place between the booster and firewall. The sleeve is intended only to protect the pushrod in shipping and gets tossed.
