Default Metal floor drain plugs

I want to plate the oval floor drain plugs to match the factory finish. After removing the undercoating it appeared to look like galvanize. Exact match to galvanized guard rails. Has anyone had theirs galvanized or is their some type of spray paint that would duplicate the look. I did purchase 2 different galvanizing spray coatings, but they only looked like silver/grey paint.

No kind of paint will duplicate the look of dip galvanizing. On one car I just painted them with galvanizing paint and was happy with that. There are reproductions available, but I can't speak to how they look, but I think they come just as bare steel, no galvanizing.

That multi texture / color is tough to duplicate with paint. You can come to a fair facsimile mixing heavy & light mist coats of different manufactures Galvanized paint offerings. Trick is trying to keep a rough texture when your trying to make everything else you paint smooth....... Rust Oleum Fogged Hammered Pewter can get close then overcoat with a dulling clear coat.. Again, you can only get close..

Could convince the wife to do some artsy stuff!!!! https://anoregoncottage.com/faux-galvanized-finish/

I got my floor drain plugs back today from Art Galvanizing. They sent back my check as well because all 6 pieces came back badly warped. They said that happens sometimes because the temperature they use is 850 degrees. They look very shiny. Looking at 8LUG pictures of the parts he had done by Art, his look to be more of a variegated matte finish.
