Do you have a link or more details?
RA III is a great engine. Pretty much the same as the 1968 HO manual trans engine though....

Still not following....
Are you talking about the carb pan, hood baffle, open scoops and foam seals? If so, my only experience is with OE parts since that is what my car came with. From what I can see, the reproduction parts are a very good facsimile.

If you are just talking about the pan and open scoops, I did that to mine back in, I think, 2015.
It's generally referred to a a Ram Air II for '68...although, I don't think it was called that back when they were sold new.
Anyway, I got my 'kit' from a company called Warpath Restorations. The parts were excellent. A user here 'brians' has a connection with the company and saved me a few bucks.
Here is the thread I started on it back then..a lot of the pics seem to be gone now-

Default Back to the original question: Yes, the RAIII kit will fit on a 1968.

They're a little more complicated than the original 1968 setup pictured above, but either will function to get cool air into your carb.

You will have to trim the underhood bracing to make the RAIII setup fit and seal correctly and you have might have to fabricate a bracket for the pull-cable bracket to attach to. Don't have a 1968 dash at the moment to check.

An advantage of the RAIII setup is that there are the flapper doors to close to stop water from getting in if you get caught out in the rain (or snow.....).

And, if you choose the 1970 setup, the base is dimpled and will fit on a Holley carb with center-hung float bowls, too.

Good luck!

Duh....it never even occurred to me that he was considering the later RA kit for the '68...even though he clearly asked about the RAIII.
By the way, you have to cut the under-bracing for either one if you want it to seal.

Stuinnh:
Largest issue on the 69 system will be cutting the hood. You have to for the 69/70 flapper door and once you do, there is no going back.
The hood is cut completely different then a 68 (or change the hood to a 69 factory cut hood).
Also need to drill a hole in the firewall and install the cable bracket.

Tim Benko makes the best 69 or 70 system, but not sure if he is selling retail anymore.
Ames sells his parts.

I do have a couple 68 systems that need paint work if interested.
No swap meets this year so would just sell them at a discount.
