This car is actually in decent mechanical condition. Needs paint and interior though. Runs well, drives, all lights and the horn all work.

I'm getting out of Pontiacs and into Mtn. Biking. I have a nicely equipped 66
Bonne 4-door hardtop for sale. $1500.

It runs and drives but could be considered a
project. It needs interior and paint. The body is pretty straight, but more
importantly it is rust-free. It was a Central Oregon car (high altitude, pretty
dry) so there is no rot under the body cladding, the rear window does not leak
and the trunk is about 85% solid. There are a few softer spots but no
rust-through in the trunk. Still original color: Marina Turquoise, med. blue
interior.

Options:
6-way power bench seat
deluxe seat belt retractors
day/night mirror
rear defrost
reverb (don't know if it works: the radio doesn't)
column shift tilt that still self-cancels the signals.
rally gauge speedometer (works great)
NO: A/C, Leather or posi.

The motor (YE 389 4v) is said to have been rebuilt about 25K ago. All I know
for a certainty is that it starts with the first bump of the key and has 165-180
psi in all 8 cylinders. It could use a tune-up, I haven't even pulled the plugs
to see what shape they are in, nor have I tuned it for my lower altitude, except
to richen up the idle mixture.

This car drove to the Portland area from Madras (about 190 miles) without
missing a beat, but the brakes should be looked at. Drivers front cylinder
wants to stick after the car's been sitting a while.

All the glass is good (new windshield), the bumpers are better than average, the
fenders are very good, the stainless is better than average.

The upholstery is shot. Needs carpet, headliner, seat foams and covers, arm
rests. The door panels are actually pretty decent. The dash is cracked as is
the Lucite s/w. $!500

I think I posted this car here some months ago and wasn't too worried about not
getting any interest, I was going to work on the car later on if it didn't sell.
Now I want to move it. It sells or I start selling parts by April. Please
don't make me do that. It will be such a beautiful car.

Best regards

Barry

Default 1966 Catalina convertible?

Not a Bonneville, but I have a 1966 Catalina convertible that is solid, fairly complete, somewhat apart, and in need of a restoration. Let me know if you are interested and I can provide details along with pictures, etc.

Good luck!

I've got a line on a '66 4dr hardtop driver. Still working out the details. What are you looking to spend on one?

not mine, sounds promising. Although it should be checked out as MN cars tend to have a lot of rust if that is where it came from.
