428 block
I finally went to Seattle and picked up the 1967 YH/428. I cleaned what I could of the rust with a scotch-bright pad and ran a 20 gauge shotgun brush through the oil passages with brake cleaner. I sprayed the whole thing with wd-40 then wiped out the cylinders and used Castrol rear gear oil on the cylinders. I tried to roughly measure the bore on the cylinders and it looks like 4.150. Looks better than the picture. It's gonna be awhile before I can get it to the machine shop. Might be a dumb question but who carries engine block bags? Are they easy to come by? I can't seem to find any.

all you need a a green trash bag...however, I would just coat everything with oil and let it sit in a dry place.

Yes I thought about Hefty lawn bags but isn't there someplace to get the thicker bags like you get from the machine shop?
