Great question, been trying to get a hold of her for two years.

No luck here.

Understand that she gets 10K a pop to show up.

People say they know people, who know people who know Linda?

Wish she would just call and wish me luck.

I don't want anything from her, Jack "Doc" Watson, Hurst Performance Vehicles or Hurst Shifters. I just thought they might have some remote interest in the car just for history sake.

I guess they figure that the little guy can't pony up the kahones to get the job done.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise !!!!

Would be great if she did. It was one of the first cars that she campaigned on for George, maybe the first.

Thanks for the comments, as usual.

These were used in promo with Hurst/GM and Goodyear. "Blue Streaks" they were called.

Had these made by Diamond Back Tires. Goodyear wouldn't even return my call.

Actually i may have seen Linda on that car back in the summer of '67.I was only 6 at the time but i remember seeing her on the back of a gold car with a giant Hurst shifter. It was at some track in Deleware i think.Somewhere around here are some pics of the races including Don and Roy Gays GTO and Firebird. There is also a program from that race.I also remember a Batmobile 'clone' there.Probably just an exhibition car.

Mike, did George have a "Hurst Equipped" emblem displayed on this car back in the day?

The GP is looking spectacular, by the way.

We've had Linda at our show a couple of times. She's not 10K. I think it cost us around $2500 plus rooms for her to show up and sign things.

She doesnt return your call becuase she probably gets calls all the time to get involved with Hurts related things. As beautiful as your car is, to her its just a car.

Default 3 made of the 67 "Batmobiles"

There were three made. Two usually at a show together. One was like mine with the gold centered wheels with the chrome outers.

The other car like mine was exactly the same except it had chrome/polished centers with chrome outers. It was the one that fell off of a transport on the way to a venue and was totaled out.

The other car that is still around belongs to Jack "Doc" Watson and is in a warehouse in Las Vegas Nevada.

Doc sent me a picture of his car, which has different paint scheme, it features gold panels on the hood and trunk. Picture attached.

Lucky yes, hard work yes.

I feel fortunate to a part of the past, seeing it come back to life has been a real treat.

Steve,

It's only time and money.

Fly me back, get me a room, leave the suitcase full of money and a sound proof room and your dreams will come true.

Thanks again for all your support throughout this process. May have a battery hold down for you.

Mike,

My grafics guy can cut you one like mine if thats the one you like. There are 3 or 4 versions.

The one on my car is 12" high and 17" wide.

Let me know.

The vinyl transfers are $25.00 each plus shipping and the magnetic ones are $55.00 each plus shipping. 3 color or 2 color, it makes no difference. There is a red/white, black/white and the red/black/white like mine, same price.

Let me know and I can get them for you.

You guys will be getting a deal as I had to pay for all the set up and computer work.

Txs gtoric,

As far as I can tell the emblem was not produced until after these cars were built.

Have one and have given thought to where or IF I want to put it on the car in any place at all.

I like the emblem but will probably at this point opt out of installing it on the car.

All of the pictures I have of these three cars did not indicate the presence of this emblem.

Maybe someone out there can give us a history of this emblem.
