Not digging the dogs there Todd - Some deluxe wheel covers or the Rally II's would be sweet.

Yes, Rally II wheels with bright trim rings.I'll need new tires too because the Michelins on there now are all cracked and old. Some new shocks and thicker sway bars... I feel like I'm flying a B-17

My wagon was in a yellow primer really similar to your color (Mayfair Maize?) I had the full wheel covers on there for a while.

Any updates, how's she runnin? I could be wrong but I think the side trim vinyl was normally body color, not black. Mine was body color but I will probably replace with black too unless I can find a match.

The rub strips were black on my Bonneville- originally Palladium Silver. My brother's '69 Cat has blue strips on a Windward Blue car. I wonder if the colored strips were optional or color dependent?

My strips were green on a verdoro green car. Maybe black was just used for cars in silver, yellow, black, white.

I bought some Rally II wheels from Preston Grant. When they arrive, I'll get them blasted and painted and some new rubber. I need some nice trim rings if anyone has some laying they want to sell.

I've been thinking about the RARE rear sway bar and control arm kit. Anybody tried it? I need a bigger front bar as well.

This car is very original, it's likely the black side moldings are original . The car takes some getting used to, it's big !

Does anyone have any experience with thick sway bars on B-body? I want this thing to handle like a Trans Am.

I got the bigger front Addco bar (same bar RARE sells) that is 1 1/8 on the front of my GP. I think it tightened it up nice but the rear feels sloppy. I have the RARE kit hear but never got around to putting it on the car this year. I know when I was at the POCI convention RARE had just the rear bar for sale so you may want to check into that if you don't want to change the control arms. I went with the tubular arms and adjustable uppers, maybe over winter I can get them on. Pat

Has your 428 engine or trans ever been rebuilt? Are you planning to? Mine is original and still going strong although I found some timing chain/gear pieces in the oil pan recently....must have broke and been changed at some point. I often wonder if changing to big valve heads would be worthwhile for more torque. Going to jet down the carb, it runs too rich on today's fuel. How about yours? Might squeeze a few more MPG doing so.

I'm thinking my car has 49,000 original miles. The beautiful grain on the steering wheel, the nice original carpet and interior in general. The minimal wear on the brake pedal pad.Brake rotors look like new. However, the transmission appears to have been serviced and painted a blue, leading me to believe it's been out of the car. The 428 seems to run nice but uses lots of fuel and pinged going up a mountain, which didn't impress me because I had just filled the tank with 93 octane.Tuning issues I'm sure. The trans feels like it needs a shift kit, it just seems so slow and slushy. I've got about four months to address all of the cars issues. I did think about rebuilding a 370 HP 428 I have and dropping that in with some long branch manifolds but I think the big-valve heads would hurt fuel economy.
