Well I’m painting everything the same lol.....A post, sail panels, kick panels, seat back, and seat belt repair kits, frt and rear window trim and the Dash Pad....
Door panels are untouched as well as centre console....
I have to pull my original seatbelts male side pieces and inspect the roller housing since I took them off when I got the car ....because the anchors were broken...

Yeah, I'm painting most of the pieces so they'll match. If it's the wrong shade, everything will be the wrong shade together lol

Well, after staring at the dash for a while, I decided to give vinyl pro a shot. I sent them in a original piece of saddle, so we'll see how close they get it.

Worth a shot...they got mine pretty close, given the effects of 50 years of dirt/grime and sun.

Keep us in the loop...
Once my car is out of the garage and I finish some inside the house work I'll be out to paint up the trim and post pics

For sure.

Apparently the turn around time is 2-3 days after they get the sample, so it shouldn't be too long.

Yes!

Got the custom mixed paint in, and it looks great! Looks spot on compared to the paint on the steel dash, and the original plastics.

Those guys were great. They got the sample and the next day they sent out two cans. Super fast turnaround time.

I cleaned it really good with wax and grease remover from an auto body supply store. Not that cheap Duplicolor crap.

After going through almost an entire roll of shop towels, I hit it with a tack cloth to make sure there was no dust on it.

I hit it with 1 light coat, followed by two heavy coats and let it dry. The paint laid down excellent, and the grain is still clear and crisp, not filled in with paint.

I can get the code for you guys. Now that the company has mixed a batch, you can order it without paying the lab fee.
