Default Finally finished the frame out resto on my Tenth Anniversary car.

This has been a project of mine for the last decade plus, back when I had a lot more time and less travel. Got the car ablot 80% done and in the trailer it went.

Covid changed that for me and I was able to get back in and get stuff done. Then, my travel started again so I searched for a shop to complete the car.
Settled on Trans Am Specialties in Miami.

Great family business with a lot of knowledge and an attention to detail. Was refreshing to talk with people who knew the car and were willing to talk and not BS the knowledge.

So three months later, here she is ready to go. I do have my little tinker things as I have been told I'm obsessive in detail sometimes.

Pictures to follow.

Love ALL the 79 400 4spd cars
10th's are really cool
Congrats on the completion !

I was able to go to Trans Am Specialties in Miami about 11 years ago.
Met the brothers and checked the place out.
Great Guys and a Great Place
Wish i lived in Miami and worked on 2nd Gen's for a living !

They restored my former 73 SD TA for the PY member who bought it from me.
And did a great job.

Congrats on the beautiful T/A.

A buddy had one back in the early 80s, one of the four speeds he bought used from someone, I think he paid around $8,000. He drove it for a few years and took really good care of it, but I heard that it ended up getting totaled somewhere in New Jersey.

Whats interesting is I was not a fan of these cars early on as I like most had a black one. But then I grew to like the uniqueness of it and then i became hooked. They really are beautiful cars when done.

I wasn't really into the Silver cars early on either.
But the door panels and seats Blew Me Away from the very first sight of one.

I had a Dk Blue/Blue/Blue loaded 79 4spd for a long time.
Came real close to buying a 10th 4spd with a 74 SD455 engine in 1989.
And was going to do a color change if i bought it.

Did an exterior restoration on a 4spd in mid 90's and after that have always been into them just as much as all the 79 4spd's.

They are unique and so deluxe.
Glad Pontiac made them special for us/you

I don't remember Chevy doing anything special for 10 year mark of Z28 or SS Camaro's birthday.
