Default 1970 GTO grill color

I'm assuming the silver here is argent silver... guessing correctly? I wasn't going to repaint these but now that I've got them out and cleaning them out it looks like they should get it. If this is argent silver does anybody have a preference on where they get there rattle can from that has a close to as possible paint match? Thanks

Scott, do you have to use argent silver? Do the grills need to be as from the factory?

This only a suggestion.......
My take on Argent Silver if I may. My 66es both came from the factory with Argent Silver. I never really liked it as it was too bright for my taste. Back in 1970 for my first 66 GTO I had nothing else to use and my local parts and paint shops didn't have Argent Silver to repaint them. No big deal as I ended totaling the GTO. On to the 66 GTO I now have. The grills were in sad shape paint wise and at the time I had no place near me where I could pick up the paint. I went to a car show up in Pottstown, PA at the small strip mall where Eastwood is located. They were actually a sponsor for the show. Inside I found their Spray Grey and have never looked back. IMO it's the perfect color for the 66 grills. Not so bright to take away the looks of the paint and the front of the car. If you can grab a can and try it on your grills if you don't like it you can always go to the Argent Silver.

2 Photos with the Spray Grey....

Yours looks good but on my car really like to stick with the correct colors as close as I can get. Eastwood's said be a couple of weeks before they get the new delivery in so I just ordered from them.

I don't believe there is any metallic in them. I think argent paints have metallic, I used krylon dull aluminum and feel it was a perfect match to my 72's grills I also used it on my 65's.

Waited it out and finally got the Eastwood's argent silver. It does look like it has metallic in it. Grill with the GTO emblem hasn't been done yet and the other one has. I'd say pretty much a perfect match. Sheen is about the same too.
