Do you mean 73? I've never seen a 80 amp on a 71. I have this one all rebuilt and ready to install. 250 shipped

Have several Spring of '71 dated casting water pumps. Rebuild session coming up, feel free & PM.

Alts... 1015's were def used in '71. From pulling cores, the '71 & 72 production 1015's have proven to be much harder to find than '73 & '74 dated ones, or the 1016's.

I had an 80A alternator on a 72 4-spd car. It's my understanding if you got a/c and rear window defog, it was required.

I have a 71 455 with the accessories still attached that I pulled from a low mileage 71 GP SJ that was wrecked in the early 80s. I have never checked the dates or p/n on the alternator, but I know the car had less than 100K miles when it was wrecked. I will try to remember to check next time I'm down in my storage.

thanks for the response - very interested in one of your early 71 pumps . My car was built third week in May. How much you want for the core and the rebuild. Ken

Thanks Mike -- You are right only cars with AC and rear defrost have a 80 amp static alternator, which my car has both . Any help would be awesome . Take a look and let me know please and thanks for the response
