Default Hopefully a easy one for you body guys.

Noticed today that my gap on the pass side is a little different than the drive side, just want to make sure im thinking this out right.

When loosening the two bolts by the windshield and pulling on the hood towards the pass side I can get it to line up good by the door and fender.

But when shutting the hood it always seems to pull the fender in a little making the gap to the door and fender look worse.

When the hood is open, it looks good, but when I close the hood seems the fender pulls in some.

Whats ya think guys...……..lol

As usual with my babbling, when the hood is opened, seems ok, but when closed it pulls the fender in more.

Sounds like it is in the hinges more than the fenders. Try loosining the hinge that bolts to the hood so the hinge is not bound up when the hood is closed. Perhaps this may help.

Make sure the bolts on the fender that bolt to the firewall are nice and tight. If there even a little loose that will happen

Thanks guys, fooled around with it today, loosened up the top bolt closest to the windshield and the bottom bolt to the firewall...…….pulled on the fender some and so far it seems to be holding up ok...……..gaps look pretty good.

Should have taken a pic when the pass side bolt was out, but where the bolt goes in, seems like the hole is a lot bigger than the drive side...……...so that's where I think its moving some.

Thanks again

Couple bad pics of what im talking about, you can see the actually hole on the pass side is bigger than the drive side...……..could this be from a 67 fender they made fit on a 66 ???

You can see if I don't tighten it down good enough, it can slide back some.
