7044276 or 7343264. I think they are off 71 Bonneville and a 7? GP.

The number beginning with '73' doesn't make sense according to the information I have. If it is actually 7043264 that would make sense, and it would be the essential equivalent of the other carb.

Both are from automatic trans cars and assuming both have '70' as the actual first two numbers then the first one you list is a '73 model and the second is a '74.

Neither is likely to be an 800 cfm unit, but you can tell for sure by looking up the venturis from the throttle plate side. If there is a noticeable bulge in the wall of the venturi adjacent to the booster ring, then it's an 800. If round/smooth all the way around it's a 750.

Either carb would be fine on a street 455, use whichever one is in the best condition and richen up the secondary rods and it should run great.

As mentioned they are equal from a performance standpoint and both the "750cfm" castings. Don't assume they will flow to potential, many have limited secondary airflap opening angles. Any early q-jet will work "well" or "good" on a 455. Depending on the engine and hp level they are pretty even to at least 425hp. At or near 500 hp the smaller q-jets will be down about 15-18hp and nearly that much in torque. They will run dead even to about 3600rpm, from there on up the larger 800cfm units make more power. If it's a street car I would doubt if you'd ever notice the difference....Cliff
