Can anyone explain to me how to set the coil spring inside the choke stove so that it does what it is supposed to do on my Q-jet.Now I will admit to taking it off, and taking it apart, before I really saw how it was working--you know how it goes--when I re-installed tne Q-jet today, fired right up, but--however I have the choke set up, it wants to close the plate. I tried to reason out how the orientation of the spring effects the operation, but no matter which way I set it up it seems as if its determined to push on the rod which in turn wants to close the plate, even when its hot. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious?
Thanks;
