Default 68 Firebird on fleaBay

Check out this fleaBay ad and awful video. The huckster doing the voice over is beyond description. Ram air car...no. Barrett Jackson quality car....yuck.

Sounds like a Jersey boy.... but in Florida.

Goes to show you how clueless people are when it comes to R/A.

Same color combo as my car. Verdoro Green with the white vinyl top.

My color combo is factory per my trim tag, I'd be curious if this one is also. I've never seen another Verdoro Green white vinyl top car until now.

a friend of mine has one, all restored and painted per trim tag, factory matching 400 TH400 car. Very nice color combo.

The first thing he says it's that it's a Ram Air car... no it isn't. Pisses me off when people claim a car is either Ram Air or HO and it isn't. Not a bad looking car though.

Other than the "Ram Air" claim and Rally Stripes, it's a beautiful car. Most of us would be proud to have one of this quality. He may be little optimistic on price, though--it's not a GTO.

Mine is. But it's a vert!

I like it a lot. It absolutely is a RA car. The sticker says so plain as day.
Looking at the billing history, it did leave the factory as a Q-1 car. Verdoro with white top.

Default Thar be pirates

See:

http://www.russoandsteele.com/past-c...Firebird/52142

Went for $14.5K (pathetic)

Several collision repairs, some (mostly hidden) rust. Engine a bit weak & runs hot, but not bad, and very rare to see an original 400 purring at 120,000 un-rebuilt. Was a lady's car.

So, this is the same car---sold for $14,500 in June? Now asking $33,000 on eBay "Buy it Now." Good luck with that one!

That was June last year, and a non-representative sale price (=pathetic).

It now has redlines and a hood tach, so it's worth more right? Adjust for inflation...

Don't forgetting the ram air sticker was added too. That made the price go up.

It's worth what anyone is willing to pay - as a numbers matching, well optioned, nicely colored 400 Firebird it's worth FAR more than 14k!

Thing about an auction is you need two people to like it, with a BIN or BO you just need one.

I agree. $30K+ might be a bit strong but $14K is a steal for that car. I'd go to the bank immediately...If my wife said it was ok...and get that.

FWIW
The car did make the drive from AZ to CA in the summer with the AC on. It's mechanically sound. But currently above market value on fleabay
