Default 4 SPEED TRANSAXLE?

Are the 4 speed transaxles for our Tempests fully syncronized? If so, does anyone have a good one for sale? Thanks, Steve

they are but wont take much above a 4 cyc.Been told a saginaw will work in one.tom

Tom, then the 3 speed is stronger? I have a 4 cylinder-warmed up a little-Thanks, Steve

the 326 3 speed is stronger for sure.Tom

No doubt the 3 speed is probably stronger. Still never had much luck with it holding up behind my 326.

given an thought to using a C-5 trans?
its a dream of mine to do that so you could put boatloads of power down(455) and still have IRS.
