Well Im finally in Need of the 460 that has been in my 68 Bird for the last 3 years. Back into the original truck it goes, after a 1 ton conversion...

Now, begin the flaming

Do I need to post pictures to prove, yes I was bored, but I drove it for 3 years, not one problem with this Firebird... Fun Ride, now on the lookout for a 455........

that's ok, last summer i put a 350 chevy into a 71 mercury for a guy. it didn't turn out too bad.

we had to raise the rear quite a bit to get it to sit level with the front. the sbc was quite a bit lighter than the 429 that came out of it.

I still liked the 76ish toyota corolla with a 400 pontiac that was out at the PSN a few years back, ANY IDEA WHO HE WAS? thats the only PSN i have been too, i'm not sure if he was a regular or not.

ford in a pontiac? I guess thats not as bad as me wanting to put a Max wedge in a 3rd gen trans am. I still want to do a OHC 6 EFI turbo in a 3rd gen trans am. if anyone wants to spend the money I have a extra car, and I will do the swap and everything, just to poor to afford a EFI, a OHC 6, or a Big turbo! LOL sure would be FUN

You sure he didn't just put the Bird on the tractor frame. What a waste of a Bird. Camaros are more suited to farm work like a conversion around here.

That C6 good and not been sitting long? I need one very badly as my 460 ate the one behind it. Of course, a 6000 lb truck running 14.00 flat at 104 mph wasn't real easy on it either!

How easy was the conversion? After that Ford won the carcraft dyno shoot out, I'm stoked for it. Besides, I like having my distributor where its easy to get to.

I have new valve covers on the way, this engine sat so long they are now pitted, and will not clean up. Also if anyone needs a Griffen Aluminum Radiator with tranny cooler, I have this one here for sale $250. I had beefy brackets built for it, it will bolt right on your bird....

I guess I should explain... The 400 I built lost oil pressure upon startup one day. I heard and saw right away on the oil pressure gauge, as I always watch it on startup. I decided to just go this route for now.
