Default 1972 Pontiac Ventura II with a 327

1972 Pontiac Ventura II
327 with unknown internals, Hooker super comp. headers, double hump heads 2 1/2 inch flowmasters.
Nice thumpy sounding cam.
I didn't do the conversion so I dont know about the internals.

Why can't people just keep their mouth shut if they have nothing nice or helpful to contribute?

Are you aware that your precious PMD put Chevrolet motors (250 6 cyl. and 307 V8) only in the '71 Ventura? In '72 the options were the above mentioned and a Pontiac 350.
orcuttc, Nice looking motor and car! for those who haven't seen it......

Default 307 in 72

I thought 74 GTO's were Ventura's; Woops ! I mean Novas in disguise.
Didn't the same company make all of them ??
-
Mine came with the 307.
-
VIN - 2Y27F2L103014
Decodes as a 1972 Ventura, Style=2-door Coupe Notchback,
Built at the Van Nuys, Ca. plant
Engine=V8/307ci. 2bb., Serial # 103014
-
Wish I still had the original motor it but I'll take what I can get for less money.
-
Keep the Faith.

Default Chrome under the doors

I have not decoded the body tag yet.
Can't figure out how to do it short of sending $35.00 to Pontiac Historic Services.

Any ideas about how that can be worked around would be helpful.
Thanks up front,
Chuck

The car really looks super, and the engine looks good (for a chevy), but reminds me of the old saying, "If it don't go, chrome (make it pretty) it!"

Good Golly Molly I don't think I'd have any teeth left if I went that fast.
Didn't buy mine to race.
I drive it everyday.
Last night I was pulling into the church parking lot and this boy was riding his bicycle.
While looking at my car he ran into the back of a parked car.
My kids were with me and they'll be telling that one at school today.
Cracked them up.
-
Haven't had it out on the track.
Don't want to blow it up.
But it's on the street everyday.

orcuttc, Thank you, but mine is a race only car. Everything on it was put on or replaced just for drag racing, but it'll go quicker this coming season because of more (bigger) engine. I'm expecting to be somewhere about 8.10 @ around 160, all motor! And it's of Pontiac design with a few modifications!
