Default need a 63 Tempest hood scoop

I bought a 63 Tempest back halved race car and want to copy the SD look as close as possible. Where can I find the hood scoop that was used or something very close. I've heard Ebay but where on Ebay?

Here's one from Ebay, but IMHO the price is outrageous!

I'm sure someone on the board will sell you one cheaper.

BTW - The SD cars didn't come with the grill insert.

I agree. Thats too much money to stick on a racecar. Maybe someone on here has one or I can get something close.

Thats a ford truck scoop. Check with Pontiac Dude, he had a few at one time and I think the cost was not more than 100.00. The original pontiac scoop did not have the screen/grill in them. buyer beware.

They were actually a Ford part that was used on heavy duty trucks. If you have an old junkyard in your area, you may get lucky and find one on an old F-750 dump truck.

If that guy on eBay sells his scoop for his asking price, I'll be happy to sell the NOS one I have for $275 as well!

Be patient. Sometimes there's 2 or three at a time on ebay under pontiac super duty

Wink

reason that guy has $275 on it, is he probably saw the one that sold for over $300 bucks on Ebay a couple weeks ago, the winning bidder on that one must not shop around much!
