NICE!

But here is a ? for all of you... why are your coil overs so close to the middle of the pumpkin?
Isn't the ideal place to put them further out?
Doesn't that affect the balance of the car?

That isn't how we have ours. We have them way out close to the wheels away fromt he middle.

Just picked up a 9 inch for my 63. Because i plan on doing alot of street driving i was leaning towards a 4 link set up. Does anyone here have any photos of a 63 with a 4 link.

I have a Versailles 9" in mine with QA1 shocks and 32" bars similar to Comp. Eng. ladder links that I fabricated. I will try to post a picture.

Tom S,
I called you several years ago after buying my '63. Built the suspension based on your suggestions. Thanks for your help.

Tom

Thanks. I got a little carried away since I'm from Cleveland and this was an Arizona car. Here is a picture of the ladder bar front mount. I also did some minor frame modifications to fit 28x13.5 tires.

Are these cars your daily drivers or are they your weekend warriors?

Nice job on the fab work. I am just happy we aren't the only ones running this setup. You do some impressive work.

mine is a weekend warrior car.If you are looking for a daily driver I would spend more time and figure out a leaf spring setup. The ladder bars are more forgiving than a 4 link for everyday driving and the leafs would be much better than the ladder bars.IMHO,Tom

Hmm, oh well. I hope my setup is forgiving. Since it is gonna be a daily driver I hope it doesn't kick the crap out of me too bad. But that's why I bought the 32" ladder bars from Cali. chassis works. It has poly urethane bushings in these so hopefully that will take a little vibration out of the ride and make it tolerable.

poly bushings will help a lot.My experiance is they dont like going fast around corners, mine has a real wierd feeling like it is trying to lift the outside rear wheel.Tom
