Did they come in a GM box?

I bought one from Tom Vaught several years ago that he got out of the Ford parts system, still new in the box. I should go out to the garage and see what the Ford p/n was.

Interesting. That had to bug the GM manager who was in charge of parts distribution at the time, having Ford boxes in his inventory.

This is off topic but it reminds me - my brother lives in suburban Detroit (he's a retired Chrysler engineer) and earlier this year one of his neighbors passed away. That guy was a retired GM designer, and when his kids cleaned out the house they tossed a bunch of old GM manuals from the early 1960s he had in the basement. My brother fished out what he could from the dumpster and gave them to me; most of it was design guides for packaging and labeling - what size and shape boxes to use for different kinds of parts, how the labels were supposed to look, type fonts and colors for different types of parts. There's even specifications for how to make signs for use in the office buildings and factories. Among other things I have the exact instructions for how to draw the Pontiac arrowhead logo, with all the correct angles and line weights and colors. I should post that sometime.

I wished you lived here Kieth Cause I would put your a$$ to work.
Lost my employee to a factory and I'm doing it all myself again.
Out of the 17 years I've been self imployed I've had someone
working for me for at least 9 of them years. The moneys good
but I'm working my tail off and putting in lots of hours. So if
you need a vaction for a while come on over. LOL
Good luck finding work too.

GT.

I seem to recall someone saying Jim Wangers is in that photo, too, but I can't pick him out.

I'll ask him in a couple of weeks. He is scheduled to be here at Steve Barcaks PBO fall fest on Nov 3rd.

Yep,,, noticed that. Also looks like it has over sized tires on it. Look how fat that front tire looks.

I like it, first time I've seen that car in color. It looks sharp. Is there any video footage of it running the challange race?

If there is I have not seen it nor have I heard of any. There are some pretty high $$ cars in that field and I would love to see that footage.
