Default 1975 Grand Prix What parts will fit??

Hi i just purchased a 75 grand prix with blown trans /good running 455...supposedly good body, unsure of interior etc. Will the disc brake splindles fit a 68-72 A body pontiac ? And am i going to have the right motor mount holes to use the engine in my 72 wagon ? I will be parting this car out in the coming weeks once i find out what it has,its 2 hrs south of me...keep an eye out or drop me a line if anything needed,no high prices!

The GP spindles are same as F cars. IF you want to do the tall spindle conversion with Global West or Hotchkiss upper control arms, these parts will work well for you. IF you want just a generic disc brake conversion, no this is a completely different setup. Block should have the right holes for your car, no need to change motor mounts.

you need to use a 68-72 disc brake setup, A/G body gms only.

AHhh..Another GP engine donor...OUCH!! Hopefully the frame is rusted or some other fatal flaw exists to justify the dismantling. Or at least lie to us!!!!

I also just found a silver and black 75 Grandprix L J 455 yesterday that I am going to use the 455 engine for my 72 Lemans, I was wondering if the rally II's were the same bolt patterns as my Lemans, will they fit ? Is the 75 455 block just as good as the 71-74 strenght wise ?

Certainly the wagon deserves the 455. ANd hopefully the Grand Am and Grand Prix guys will get some good stuff off the car. There a lot of GA stuff that interchanges. The dual exhaust crossmember is a desired item, and any optioins are good to sell. Seats worth $150-$250. Glass is worthless, body parts on GP are hit or miss, trans and rear are dime a dozen.

WHeels are the same 4.75 bolt pattern. Will fit A body cars and Firebird. The 455 should bolt right in.

Check bumper closeouts and rub strips, they will sell if good. LJ or SJ usually have gauge packages, with tach and console mounted clock as all one package is a great EBAY item.

Front header will make a neat wall hanging!!!!

Hood hinges and jack will sell, seat belts if complete, and unhacked radio bezels both non console and console mount will go too.

You can make a few bucks here, maybe come up with a free 455.

Can't save them all, but please recycle what's good for us GP and GA restorers. Post ads in both sections and list as "Grand Prix AM" on ebay.

IF the body is really pretty nice, why not put a 350 in it as a beater? Can find those out there for maybe $200-$300 running.

Just wondering where you are. I'm about 2 hrs north of London Ont. Have a couple of Pontiac engines; trans, may sell one if the buyer of your 75 is interested. Ben.
