I'd be interested in one as well. $990 seems like a lot but maybe once the initial work is done, the price might come down as demand goes up. I've done a 3 piece in my Goat and although not as pretty as a full pan, it does the job a lot better than a rusty trunk. Besides, no one is lifting my trunk mat to see if its a one piece or three.

So what years interchange? Which bodies? Catalina, grand prix, Bonneville, etc????
What will a 70 fit?

Not sure of the answer to your question, ratchetmaster, but in the "67 Sheet Metal Availability" thread in this forum, someone linked to an ebay auction by "classic2currentfabrication" for a 1965-68 Catalina & Grand Prix & Ventura Trunk Floor Pan.
I'll include a link to the current auction here, although it will be dead in a month or so. Price is $219.99 + $50 shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350499473749? Quote:

Anyone ever try one of those trunk pans from ebay? I see they still list them. Or find out if any differences in the years between 65-68 trunk pans? I assume the Bonneville would be a few inches longer.......

A Bonneville pan is longer than a Catalina/GP.

New to these B-body's , are dare I say the impala floor and trunk pans not the same? Looking at doing a 67 Catalina or Bonnaville 2 door. Any shared parts between siblings? Chassis parts etc.

Abe Buhler, your trunk pan will likely interchange with Chevrolet as it was the black metal for Canadian product, IIRC. Worth checking out and comparing.
I managed to score one of the last "Swedish" 3-pc pans and it is fantastic. Still in the box while awaiting a slot in the fabricator's queue. C2C will do if you just want to fill the hole, but it does not come with the body mounts or anything else, and looks pretty handmade. Okay for a father and son project that will get hidden by a mat and a tank. Best bet of all is to stalk Frank's Pontiac Parts in Cali and see if something turns up. '65-70 should be very similar. If you just need patches, a good fabricator could spend a day or two or what a good floor will cost. |
