Maybe not a GTO, but plenty of 1964 - 1972 Lemans I see come up for sale for under $25k in decent to good driver condition. Keep tabs on Hemmings auctions/listings, Bring a Trailer, set up search alerts all over towns on craigslist, and of course ebay.

Thanks. Constantly monitoring all outlets, just thought I’d ask the PY contingency

Curious what you mean by a nice driver? Just trying to get a feel for what he is looking for.

If he's not concerned with the car being something "special" then stay away from GTO, anything SS, etc. . you get a lot more for your dollar when it comes to a driver if it's not something perceived as "rare"

Kinda like ...
For $25k you get a $15k GTO
For $25k you get a $30k Tempest/Lemans

Older well sorted frame off, clean frame on, something that’s been driven and has no known issues. Local cruise in type not show. Numbers don’t matter. Not a project. And he’s really looking for 68-70 cars, maybe 71/2.
Thanks

Agreed. I’ve been around these cars for quite sometime and understand the economics of the 3 letter cars thanks to BJ and Mecum…

I see a pretty good looking 1971 LeMans sport on San Francisco craigslist priced at $18,500. Just something I saw while surfing the net.

I just happened to see this '67 4spd on my eBay feed a few minutes ago. Looks pretty good to me. Only drawback is the SBC but he could drive it until he finds another engine if he even cares.

Why do so many fools have to put small block chevys in Pontiacs. Not enough brains to be able to build a Pontiac. When corvettes were new people used to drop 389s w tri power into vettes and other chevies then the aftermarket kicked in , grumpy jere stahl etc . Man it turns me off big time to see. A Chevy in a Pontiac. I immediately think well owner couldn’t cut it needed to follow fe recipe In The book. Couldn’t do his own research and use his brain. Sorry just my .02

The red GTO you bought looks like a nice car Even that 67 w the small block looks like a nice car if you ripped that small block out and gave to someone w a camaro .:-)

I like the wheels even on the red lemans you bought it’s tasteful and a nice driver love the color I have a 69 bird vert that color. .
